MySQL Backup Date Discrepencies

Problem:

Help! The dates on the available database backups are older than the date listed on the archive!

Solution:

The Site Backup & Restore tool only creates backups when content changes. As such, your database modification dates may be significantly older than the date on the daily backup, depending on your last update on that database.

We do this to prevent redundantly exporting and archiving the MySQL databases, which can have significant overhead; only archiving them when the content changes ensures that:

    1) your content is always up-to-date, according to the last time you modified the database, and
    2) the server isn't being slowed by needless MySQL exports.
